Welcome to the Graham Neuroimaging Lab.
Located at Sunnybrook Research Institute and fully affiliated with the University of Toronto Department of Medical Biophysics, the laboratory of Dr. Simon J. Graham specializes in cutting-edge medical imaging-related research. Our work spans medical physics, biophysics, biomedical engineering, and neuroimaging science, with a particular focus on advancing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to study the brain\'s anatomy, function, and behaviour.
At the core of our research is the development and application of functional MRI (fMRI) to map brain activity related to human behavior. Our interdisciplinary approach bridges science and healthcare, pushing the boundaries of neuroimaging.
Please explore this website to find out more about us and our research projects, and to sample some of the innovative work we do in the lab.
fMRI-Compatible Tablet
A touch-sensitive tablet and stylus has been developed for fMRI studies of the brain activity associated with writing and drawing behaviour. Purchase the device for your research!
About Dr. Graham
Dr. Graham is a Senior Scientist at Sunnybrook Research Institute and a Professor at the University of Toronto.
Brain-Imaging of Long Haul COVID-19
The NeuroCOVID19 study is investigating the changes in brain anatomy and function that occur when individuals experience lingering symptoms months after they are no longer infectious.
Safe MRI with Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Implants
A method called parallel radiofrequency transmission (pTx) is being developed to stop localized heating that is possible when DBS patients have MRI exams.
